If you have a broad understanding of technology including server, network, database, application and scripting skills and want to apply your skills in a technically diverse and dynamic environment apply to this position with the Naval Nuclear Laboratory Information Technology team.
The successful candidate will have responsibility for merging multi-site user community needs with available resources to implement solutions that continue to add functionality, increase capacity, and improve performance of the IT services being provided.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Evaluate and write scripts to automate standard operations work Investigate, recommend and implement new technologies for potential application in the NR Program Work with end-users and provide technical assistance in resolving advanced hardware/software issues Develop, implement and ensure compliance of High Risk and Standard Operating Procedures Manage print servers and printer configuration across the Enterprise Lead/participate in strategic IT project initiatives on the implementation of new IT technologies
The technical work will focus in the Information Technology area including operation, maintenance, installation, testing or modification of integrated hardware and software components used in scientific/engineering, training, and support areas.
Associate: Bachelor s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university with relevant IT coursework.
Intermediate: Bachelor s degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of two years relevant IT experience; or Master s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university with relevant IT coursework.
Job Preferred Skills Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Domains, and Group Policy Management Experience with scripting technologies such as VB Script or PowerShell Experience with the BMC Remedy suite Demonstrated customer service skills, coupled with strong teaming, organization, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated leadership and the ability to work and communicate effectively with diverse teams in a collaborative environment. Demonstrated experience in proactively resolving issues and improving processes. Demonstrated ability to articulate technical ideas and concepts through verbal and written communications in a clear and concise manner. Demonstrated multi-tasking and prioritization abilities. Minimum cumulative GPA 3.0/4.0
