Kforce's client, a growing medical company located in the Newark, New Jersey (NJ) area is seeking a Human Resources/Payroll Manager.Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Creates and maintains human resource and payroll policies and procedures for the practice

* Maintains payroll information by data collection, calculation and entry

* Ensure completion of new hire package and maintenance of employee files

* Reports on taxes, deduction, summaries of earning, leave, disability, non-taxable wages, garnishments and more

* Determines and reconciles benefits and payroll liabilities

* Assist in the year end issuance of W2s and 1099s

* Monitor and track ACA requirement, reporting and annual filings

* Maintaining and updating job descriptions as needed for all positions within the company

* Recruiting, screening, and interviewing candidates; Assisting management with candidate selection, reference checks, offer letter, orientation and training

* Developing recruitment plans and strategies to meet the short and long-term needs

* Ensure annual performance evaluations are completed by each regional manager in a timely manner

* Conducting investigations of employee complaints or concerns

* Monitoring and advising managers and supervisors in the disciplinary process of the company

* Participating in the implementation of a performance improvement process with non-performing employees

* Reviewing and guiding recommendations for employee terminations

* Develop an employee training system that addresses company training needs and promotes accountability

* Researching and Developing local markets and salary ranges

* Developing pay scales and promotion guidelines

* Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, ADA and other regulatory standards

* Implement and monitor new initiatives, provide appropriate feedback and/or corrective actions

* Ensuring all employees have the required credentials (including licenses, CPR Certification

* 5 years of HR Generalist experience

* Experience with ensuring compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, ADA and other regulatory standards

* ACA compliance experience/NJ Tax laws for Payroll

* Similar industry would be nice
