Job Description:

JOB OBJECTIVE:Under the supervision of the Agency Curriculum Designer and in cooperation with all other agency personnel, the Learning Management System Specialist will provide LMS (Learning Management System) technical support to employees, supervisors, and the Training Department. This staff member will ensure that required ongoing user setup, training files, and reports are run on a routine basis. The Learning Management System Specialist will complete the coordination, tracking, and logging of all staff and foster care trainings, including producing completion of certificates as needed. The Learning Management System Specialist will also setup and run live webinar trainings through our LMS.

FUNCTIONS:

  • Track all employee and foster training records prior to entry into LMS
  • Upload all employee and foster parent training records into LMS

  • Run routine new user setup for all new hires into LMS

  • Run routine weekly LMS reports for all ongoing trainings

  • Seek and maintain ongoing certifications as required through agency approved applications

  • Ensure new trainees are up to date on all mandatory trainings and certifications required by agency

  • Assist the Agency Curriculum Designer in development of updating training material

  • Facilitate and conduct Webinar trainings in the LMS via Gotomeeting

  • Investigates and resolves routine problems, and assist associates in solving problems

  • Attend weekly supervisions with supervisor

  • Flexibility for training at all agency locations

  • Attend required trainings

  • Responsible for complying with the rules and regulations governing access to Protected Health Information under HIPAA. Access to Protected Health Information is limited to the extent required to perform responsibilities effectively and efficiently. No access will be permitted unnecessarily. These essential job functions dictate the level of access, use, and disclosure of confidential information

  • Perform other duties as requested by immediate supervisor, Director, and Chief Executive Officer

  • Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree required, five years Human Service experience preferred

  • Two years or more of presentation/training experience, particularly in the areas of working with youth in the juvenile justice or child welfare system is a plus

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills and ability to work in a flexible team environment

  • Experience with Connections system highly preferred

  • Computer proficiency must include PowerPoint, Excel Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Word

  • Trainer certifications in MAPP/GPSII, PST, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, First Aid, and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation strongly preferred

  • Experience working with youth in juvenile system or child welfare system is a plus

  • Ability to handle confidential material in a responsible manner

  • Valid NYS Driver s License preferred

  • Ability to travel to all agency locations as required

  • Schedule:Exempt

  • Regular hours entail 9:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday

  • Evenings and weekends will be required as needed
